A reader sent the following mailer (see below) from the Democratic National Committee targeting Florida’s female population.
The DNC’s large, two-sided mailer reads like an Obama campaign piece (because it isone) and refers readers to a federal government website healthcare.gov.
Interestingly, on one side of the mailer, the DNC tells the story of how Barack Obama was motivated to pass Obamacare by the passing of his mother who, living in Jakarta, suffered from violent abdominal pain and was misdiagnosed with appendicitis.
It wasn’t until she flew home to the U.S. from Jakarta to have her appendix removed that she was properly diagnosed. Apparently, Jakarta’s doctors failed to recognize ovarian cancer. Mr. Obama’s mother, the DNC mailer explains, succumbed to the illness “a short time later.”
Oddly, by using Obama’s personal story as the foundation (and despite the fact that Obama’s mother was properly diagnosed in the U.S.), the DNC ad seems to want readers to tie the failings of Jakarta’s health system to the failings of the U.S. health care system when it states [emphasis added]:
…He carried the memory of that pain in his heart every single day when fighting for real health insurance reform.
President Obama will not stop fighting until every American has access to quality, affordable health care when they need it. The lives of millions of people facing similar challenges as his mother did depend on it.
Ironically, it was not the U.S. health care system that failed Obama’s mother but Jakarta’s doctors who misdiagnosed her illness.
Yet, the DNC mailer pushes the story to readers as though it was the U.S. health care system that caused Barack Obama’s mother to die.

A group of people exists within our midst that hate the Constitution as laid down by our forefathers; they have spent years gnawing away at the very foundation that has make America exceptional. They have infiltrated our Government, our schools, our homes taking away our freedoms and rights.
They’ve attempted to remove God from the courthouses, our pledge of Allegiance, from our coins and out of our children’s schools. They are constantly degrading us, telling us what they perceive as wrong and assuring us they can fix it.
They ridicule, lie and spew verbal rape as is noted in their canned speeches. They mimic each other, they use the same words and they lie, lie, lie…
Until I started comparing their actions, their verbiage and their motives nothing was making sense – it was disturbing to watch and listen to certain journalists, politicians and our Commander in Chief as they conjured blatant attacks against the United States of America. They are ashamed of us!
Then it was self evident that we had allowed this group of people over a span of many years to infiltrate our Nation, our schools, our Government and our homes. They preyed on the poor using them as sheep to do their dirty work always trying to organize them into what is referred to as a “mass power.”
Their agenda is simple, yet deadly – they strive to keep the troops (Americans) distracted and divided as they promote their agenda. They want to change our Nation from what it is to what they want it to be…
Listen to their rhetoric, note the similarity in their method of communication and realize that what they say has nothing to do with the truth.
Just recently we’ve witnessed their mode of operation and watched as they constantly stir the pot always blaming others for their inept ability to lead and keep our Country safe.
When the Tucson massacre occurred, they immediately blamed Sarah Palin, Republicans questioning our 2nd Amendment rights.
The tea party movement frightened them so their only recourse was to demonize this group of citizens who wanted our individual freedoms restored, our borders secured, our Military kept safe and returning our Government to a Government of the people by the people and fore the people.
They use scare tactics when Paul Ryan presented his budget – they tried to scare the older generation and say Paul was going to push “granny” off the cliff. They attacked Sarah Palin with vengeance, but how sad to think that anyone would stoop so low as to make fun of her youngest son who has Downs Syndrome.
Pelosi’s remarks about Republicans on October 13, 2011 saying that Republicans will be voting to allow women to die on the floor. They hope Glenn Beck puts a gun to his head and pulls the trigger. They make fun of those suffering and dying from Alzheimers.
But, what created my curiosity about this group of people was the way they embraced the OWL protestors. Obama, Plouffe, Pelosi, Soros, the Unions, ACLU all jumped on National TV praising the protestors.
This appeared to be a very strange reaction, but now we realize that these young people who have been taught that the world owes them a living will be the chosen ones to reform our Nation.
The most terrifying part of this story is this – in our complacency, our attempt to be politically correct we have spawned a group of youngsters who are lost sheep, lacking attention, mentoring and guidance because we were just too busy trying to keep up with the Jones’s.
We have a very dangerous group of people who have been brainwashed; they are the product of many generations. They have been mentored, disciplined and controlled by people like Soros, Alinsky, and many others dating way back in the 1930′s and beyond. They have infiltrated our schools, our colleges, our Government and our Nation.
Alinksy was considered one of the greatest community organizers of all times, which is a pretty scary thought when you remember Obama’s only claim to fame was a community organizer.
Will they change, absolutely not – they are the result of a silent revolution that has been taking place in our Nation for years. Their tools are propaganda, vile rhetoric laced with lies – they are the polished technicians who have perfected the art of “distracting and dividing.” They thrive on verbal rape and in their world truth does not exist.
The Hollywood (Liberals) Hate-fest and urge to reinforce the Indoctrination foundation they lay through the schools of everything positive about Liberal/Progressive solutions to the ills of the Country/Planet and mocking of anything/everything “Conservative.” This also, of course, includes their disdain for Military (and Freedom-Fighting)… Coming soon to a Theater near you are more of the usual-suspect and retread plots of anti-Americanism. which leads me to have to ask: Will any PROTESTS be coming soon to those Theaters near you that show them?!?!? It would NOT be unprecedented – people were out protesting Dan Brown’s: Da Vinci Code, at Theaters all across America the Planet (info) yet Michael Moore-on films keep coming to Indoctrinate your kids and we see no challenges.
With the 2012 campaign season beginning, this Fall you will begin to again see a steady diet of Indoctrination laden messages in films of every type – they especially like (lately) to hide those “Conservatives” (Republicans) are stupid messages in Comedy fair (discussed later) where they can just (not so subtly) mock. Some will out-right blatant, such as the “Ides Of March” (2011) coming from George Clooney. All through 2012 you’ll be seeing the films step up their Indoctrination within the scripts to influence the 2012 election (they are desperate in Hollywood, so it may be even thicker than usual). Coming soon too is the Enviro-wacko message laden “Happy Feet Two” (2011) designed to have your kids drag you to the movie to see the cute “cartoon” with the (completely out in the open) Political Indoctrination intent (the “we’re killing the Planet” and “Global Warming” – the sky is falling – messages).
Oh, there’s plenty more (I’m not going to get through all of them here)… “Like Crazy” (2011) is an “open borders” immigration (they think they are being cute, clever, and subtle with it) message. While “Big Miracle” (2011) brings the Whale Wars (anti-Whaling) theme to the Big screen. Did you miss (animated/Pixar) “Cars 2” (2011) is a barrage of anti-Oil/anti-Corporate messages. Since I’m back on animated films to indoctrinate the kids with, I’ll go a few years back to mention – one of my all time favorite animated films – “WALL-E” (2008) with its Environmentalism, anti-Corporate, and direct stab at Walmart/Sams Club.

Now, let me take a break and state that your local Theater is, of course, not at fault for these films appearing there – at least, normally. Except for those ultra-Liberal Independent “Artsy” Theaters that go out of their way to find and show any and all anti-Americanism films as possible from any and all obscure sources, most Theaters operate under Distribution agreements and are (more or less) obligated to put the films on-screen — but that doesn’t mean they can, could, or should, not be the focal point for showing our disdain for these pieces of trash that Liberals keep trying to shove down the throat of Americans as more of the same in the way of Continued Liberal-bent Indoctrination through trying to hide their messages in these films under the ‘guise of “Entertainment” upon some of the unsuspecting Politically Brain-dead masses (or worse, their desire to continue the brain-washing of your kids from out of the local Classrooms and into the Movie Theater).
What am I specifically talking about? What should be targeted? Last year we got these films…
“Brothers,” for one!! [Official Movie site] Trust me, you’ve already seen this basic “concept” as the “Romantic interests” sub-plot from “Pearl Harbor.” Basically: Soldier supposedly dies; wife (or girlfriend, whatever) moves on, in the case of Brothers the wife becomes involved with the Soldiers’ literal (not figurative) Brother; Soldier isn’t dead and comes back; and the usual anti-Military, pro-appeasement, we should NEVER Fight anyone even if they attack us message, goes on to attempt to imply that all Soldiers go crazy because they were Soldiers, are unstable, etc. The – this is what always happens to/with Military folk BS message as their argument for their Surrender Doctrine.
“Dear John,” for another!! [Official Movie site]. Is anything other than the Title need be mentioned for you to understand that you know exactly what this script portrays. This film’s sole “Make Love Not War” message is that “Military = Bad” (unless Democrats are in charge during Peace so it can be just another “Jobs” and “Education” Program), how it ‘changes’ folks and not for the better, tears couples/families apart, and on and on and on.
These films, of course, always/only focus on the EXCEPTIONS and never the rule that most our Military men and women are very fine, safe, sane, responsible, loving, FREEDOM LOVING, Americans!
These are, of course, only two of countless that I could go on to mention. You get the point! Now, What are you going to do about them??
The remainder of 2011 and through 2012 will focus less on anti-military theme and more direct anti-Conservatism (or anti-Republican) bias (like I go into more in the original: Movies and Politics — The Hollywood Hate-fest), as I touched on at the beginning of this article. I fully even expect the upcoming comedy “Tower Heist” (2011); which I expect to be funny, and I expect to go see; to be Left-laden (as it deals with a Bernie Madoff type theme and rest assured, he’ll be painted as an evil Republican and those hard-working stiffs he rips off as victim Liberals/Democrats). Likewise, I’ll mention, “Margin Call” (2011) and anti-Corporate, anti-Wall Street, and Class Warfare, to help reinforce Obama’s rhetoric and upcoming Election year posturing.
There are some bright spots. Several more in Hollywood have openly declared themselves to either be full-fledged Conservatives, or at least Republican, rather than full-blown Leftist Democrats. Those increasing ranks are banding together in pushing more (at least, unbiased, plain entertainment if not actual) Conservative values based films. “7 Days in Utopia” (late Summer 2011), “Soul Surfer” (2010, now on DVD), “Courageous” (Fall 2011 / pictured above) [Official Movie site], among others; though those I mentioned there have Religious value underpinnings, other Liberal-bias free films do not (my favorite comedy: “An American Carol” – available on DVD). Make no mistake though, by a huge majority Hollywood still doesn’t just lean Left it’s plain fallen over onto its Left side lol.
from the Studio and Producers of “The Blind Side” comes “Dolphin Tale” (2011) [Official Movie site], Trailer/Preview above, and it is as cute as the double meaning tail/tale implies. You might be concerned about the potential Veggie-politics, opening credits scenes, anti-fishing message, but this film does NOT dwell on such – it is a true story and it is relevant. Nor is this an anti-Military film, the Wounded-Warrior element is critical to the true story and our men and women in uniform are treated with honor and dignity. Despite the movies star Morgan Freeman’s recent Race-baiting (below), this film is very worthy of your entertainment dollars.

One set of the 9/11 commemoration guidelines, entitled “9/11 Anniversary Planning,” is for domestic audiences and highlights Obama’s continuing attempts to politicize the 9/11 anniversary as a campaign propaganda tool. The second set of 9/11 commemoration guidelines is for foreign audiences
According to the New York Times, the guidelines list what themes to underscore — and the tone to set:
Officials are instructed to memorialize those who died in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and thank those in the military, law enforcement, intelligence or homeland security for their contributions since.
Officials are to warn that Americans must be prepared for another attack — and must be resilient in recovering from the loss.
Officials are cautioned that commemorations should not cast the United States as the sole victim of terrorism.
The tone should be shaped by a recognition that the outpouring of worldwide support for the United States in the weeks after the attacks turned to anger at some American policies adopted in the name of fighting terror — on detention, on interrogation, and the decision to invade Iraq.
The guidelines also seek to remind everyone that Osama bin Laden was killed and cite his death as a reason for officials to “minimize references to Al Qaeda”:
The guidelines say officials are to make the point that “Al Qaeda and its adherents have become increasingly irrelevant.”

If I were to start this column by saying the media is at it again, I fear I’d lose most readers at that very point. After all, is it even news anymore that the national media is as corrupt as the day is long and hellbent on advancing the Far Left ideology, even at the risk of insolvency?
Any real doubt about this was irrefutably erased during the 2008 Presidential Election as we witnessed the all out effort by most major outfits in this country to aid in the election of Barack Obama.
Yet, much like the housing market, just when we think journalism has finally reached bottom and can go no lower, we witness something else that takes it to a new low. The expected hypocrisy and double standards notwithstanding, what we are seeing from the media in this country today would make Joseph Goebbels proud.
The latest example being the debt ceiling debacle. While Washington continues to flounder about in it’s ineptitude, playing the typical partisan games and refusing to consider any real solutions to the so called ‘debt crisis’ that is only a crisis because the politicians want it to be so, the media responds as if it’s their sworn duty to carry the water for the political class.
Refusing to address the crushing weight of entitlements that’s largely responsible for much of the debt that straddles this nation and completely ignoring the monetary policies and the role of the Federal Reserve in getting us to this point, the ‘leaders’ of both parties try to put a band-aid on a gaping wound in hopes of making it to the next election cycle.
And in all the absurdity, there is a lone voice in the wilderness crying out, a voice struggling to be heard above the din of politics as usual – the tea party. Average everyday Americans who simply say stop the irresponsible spending and borrowing and endeavor to shake off and break that bond of servitude being thrust upon our children and grandchildren.
Enter the media… eager to carry the fight to the tea party on behalf of the ruling elite, to include their sworn enemies of the right, the Republican Party. The prevailing theme of the latest attacks, picked up all across the land as if marching orders have been issued from above, being terrorism.

“If sane Republicans do not stand up to this Hezbollah faction in their midst, the Tea Party will take the G.O.P. on a suicide mission” – Thomas Friedman, NY Times
“In effect, you have to blow up the World Trade Center, or paint the streets in human blood… or threaten lawmakers and even spit on them as the Tea Partiers did, or call President Obama a traitor or a Hitler. You have to be an extremist.” – Neal Gabler, Boston Globe
So, for the noble cause of demanding fiscal responsibility from our government, the tea party is compared to ruthless murderers who kill innocent civilians, behead 8 yr old children, condone pedophilia and stone women to death for the audacity of being raped.
Despicable? Inexcusable? Not in America.
It leaves one to wonder how these people can sleep at night, at least until you’re reminded that these are the same individuals who ushered in the era of no personal responsibility where Johnny gets an achievement award even if he stands on the sidelines and refuses to participate. An era where accountability is a dirty word and the individual is willingly sacrificed for the collective good of the whole.
To be frank, the media in this country have utterly failed the American people as surely as the political class. And just as the political class is leading us over the cliff, the media is out in front clearing the way. Not that surprising when you consider that these two entities have more or less merged into one with ultimate success in either field dependent upon how well you’re received in the other.
And make no mistake about it, the ferocity of these latest attacks serves to demonstrate just how much the political class, and by extension, the media, fears the tea party. The basis of that fear, despite the attacks, best described by Peter Wilson, who blogs at walkingdogcapitalist ;
“…the Tea Party does not advocate terrorism, nor armed insurrection. You rarely even hear civil disobedience, a tactic praised by left and right alike, suggested as a course of action. The Tea Party I have seen and heard puts its faith in the democratic system. Its strength is founded on the vote, which fortunately still wields awesome power in our political system. Now that’s something the Democrats (political class) can legitimately fear in November.”
After proving the above in the 2010 election, the anxiety over what lies ahead in 2012 is off the charts, hence the all out assault to neutralize the source of all that anxiety… and after the deal struck over the weekend, perhaps the only solace the tea party can take away from this so called ‘debt ceiling crisis’.
