It has to be fun being DNC Chairwoman and U.S. Representative Debbie Wasserman-Schultz. Despite a resume with absolutely no private sector experience, she rode being a staffer for a previous Member of Congress into her own seat in a heavily gerrymandered liberal Jewish district in Broward County, Florida. Then, because of her sex skill and experience, another politician elected solely because of their impressive credentials (in this case, President Barack Obama) plucks you from obscurity to become the newest Captain of the Titanic Chair of the Democratic National Committee.
It could be argued that few people had ever heard of her before fellow Member (and oddly enough, constituent) Allen West decided to fight fire with fire a few weeks back. But, in order to prove that stupid comments isn’t puerly a partisan thing, DWS (as she’s fondly known in Florida) decided to one-up Rep. West by saying:
“Aren’t we at the point where the closer we get to chaos, the more concern that there should be about coming to the table and compromising with Democrats?” Wasserman Schultz asked. “This is not leadership. This is almost like dictatorship. I know they want to force the outcome that … their extremists would like to impose. But they are getting ready to spark panic and chaos, and they seem to be OK with that. And it’s just really disappointing, and potentially devastating.”
Truly, there can be no fitting reply to a comment that stupid.
